THE NETWORK MARKETING PROFESSIONAL

Okay, so here's one career path I never thought I'd be venturing into: Network Marketing.

I joined one company recently, and so far so good.. I actually love being a part of it.

But before I tell you more of it, let's do a quick rewind, shall we?

8th November 2011, I deactivated my facebook account and disconnected myself from the internet social networking frenzy. I spent my money, enjoyed life, traveled countries, and got considerably fat. I was on top of the world! :)
Then my best friend who never saw the light of facebook migrated to Canada. The only easy way to update each other [via chat + photos] was for her to finally set-up a facebook account and for me to reactivate mine.

Mid- June 2012. After more than 7 months of no facebook, I wasnt quite used to the daily hoo-hah yet.. So I'd log-in just to check messages and, occasionally, would browse through the newsfeed. Until it dawned on me : My newsfeed is flooded with weekly bank cheques. Like reeeaaally.
How can my friends be making that much in a week? When 7 months ago, all I had were plain, normal, cheque-less updates! ~ Whatever it is, sign me up!

Late July 2012. I'm sitting in Singapore. How the hell is this gonna happen? The company is in the Philippines. How in the world do I start? Well well well, that may just be the best part of it. I'm sitting in a fresh market and it's about time I put my randomly-talking-to-strangers habit to good use. I conspired with my brother who's in the Philippines, and he signed me up. Luck was on my side since some leaders had a Singapore trip planned and my start-up kit was coming in with them.

12th August 2012, I got my first package and was introduced to the company. This is so official! :)

25th September 2012. I am writing this post because I'm seeing results as early as now. Not bad for a part-time thing. :)

Enough of my chatter! I joined Royale Business Club -- ultimately THE best decision I've made in my independent life so far.
[here's quick link to my blog about it: http://royalebusinessclubsingapore.blogspot.sg/]

Now back to what I'm supposed to be talking about and the things that make it work (in my opinion). Believe it or not, these factors have a great impact on your success in Network Marketing.

  • Company - choose a company you believe in. Know their history, their mission, and their age. Dont jump into companies that have already over-saturated the market.
  • Products - are their products saleable? are they reasonably priced? do they actually work? You must see yourself using the products to be able to convince others to use them. They should have a status in the market.
  • Duplication System - Binary. Dont go looking for any other system because this is studied and proven to be the best. I dare you to find anything better.
  • Training - Who cares about how grand your start up kit is? You need experienced people to train you. People who had the same doubts and fears as you initially did. Listen to and learn from them. Take down notes. Take some photos too. :)
  • Teamwork - Know your uplines -- Trust them. Know your downlines -- Believe in them. Know your crosslines -- Work with them. That's why they call it a network, baby. :)
  • Attitude - You ain't going nowhere if you ain't gonna fix that negative attitude of yours. Be positive. Rejected? Move on.
  • Time - Time is our biggest enemy. Everyone starts Part-time. Show me a newbie who gave his heart and soul to the company 24/7. One hour a day is actually a good start. Watch a related video, browse through the brochure, read the product labels, anything would be of help in one way or another.. never stop educating yourself.
  • Online Presence - it's 2012. what worked for someone 20 years ago will not work for you today. make yourself visible and available. Constant communication with your team is essential and whatever happens, DO NOT deactivate your facebook account. You don't know what you're missing.

Anyway, that's enough for now. Blogspot has seen enough of me.. Now to hop on to my Linkedin page and update my profile:
