May 27 - July 24 --> only the b-e-s-t season of the year.. Well, in Singapore. :)
Now on its 17th year, this annual event encourages visitors to indulge themselves into shopping and dining. The Great Singapore Sale gives people a chance to buy high-end brands up to 70% off. (I was strolling around Ion Orchard this weekend and there was actually a line leading to the Louis Vuitton store with those little stretchy line control stanchions. Talk about the need for overpriced bags!) You could buy just about anything, anywhere.
People in this tiny island-country say that all you need is a week tops to tour and visit all the attractions Singapore has to offer. But if you plan to do some shopping, give yourself a few more days and set it within the 8 weeks of glory. Shop and dine to your heart's content in the Great Singapore Sale. :)
